About The Opportunity
* Outlier seeks talented English writers to help train generative AI models.
* This freelance, reading and writing-intensive opportunity is remote with flexible hours.
You may contribute by…
* Reading English texts to rank AI-generated responses
* Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking
* Assessing the factual accuracy and relevance of AI-produced texts
Desired Expertise
* Experience as a professional writer or editor
* Currently enrolled in or completed at least an associate degree in a writing-related field
* Strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, with good reasoning skills
* Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts
Payment
* Average pay for English writing experts in the US: USD $15/hr
* UK: Estimated up to £11/hr
* Canada: Estimated up to $20 CAD/hr
* Rates vary based on expertise, skills, location, and project needs. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. For non-core work, lower rates may apply. Incentive payments may also be available. Review each project's payment terms.
