Personal Assistant / Carer (Part-Time / Full-Time)
Location: St Neots (PE19)
Hours: 12–48 hour shifts | Live-out | Days, nights, weekends (approx. 1 in 4) | Rota planned 3 months ahead
Pay: £13–£18 per hour + enhanced rates for unsocial hours

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and proactive Personal Assistant/Carer to support a male with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2, who is a full-time powered wheelchair user.
The individual works full time, so this role involves providing one-to-one support within a busy, professional working environment.
This is a long-term, stable position for someone who is committed, adaptable, and enjoys supporting an active and independent lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal care and hoist transfers (physical fitness required)
* Cooking fresh meals and household tasks
* Driving & supporting at appointments, social events, physio
* Supporting at work commitments
* Medication support
* Home organisation and maintaining routines
* Supporting the individual to maintain an active lifestyle, including attending football matches, swimming, and outdoor activities
Essential Requirements
* Full UK manual driving licence
* Access to own car due to remote location
* Physically fit for hoist use
* Care experience desirable
* Reliable, professional, and able to follow routines
