Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage internal toolmakers and mold design engineers.
2. Conduct DFM reviews and assess tooling feasibility for new products.
3. Design and review injection molds for connector components and over‑molded assemblies.
4. Support tooling concepts including gating, cooling, venting, surface specs, and mold actions.
5. Partner with engineering teams to ensure manufacturable, cost‑effective designs.
6. Work with both domestic and offshore mold shops for design, build, and qualification.
7. Support sustaining engineering with tooling issues, yield improvements, and updates.

The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate (Shortened):
8. 10+ years in mold design, tooling engineering, or toolmaking.
9. Associate's degree or higher in a technical field (or equivalent hands‑on background).
10. Proficient in SolidWorks and experienced in DFM for molded components.
11. Background in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
12. Experience working with global manufacturing partners.
13. Bonus: medical connector/cable mold design, journeyman toolmaker background, IQ/OQ/PQ familiarity.
