We have an exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in helping us achieve our vision of building a world where all infrastructure is sustainably built and maintained.
This is a senior commercial role, providing leadership across contracts, driving commercial performance, and supporting successful project delivery.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…
* Supporting the commercial leadership of the contract, ensuring that the company’s rights and obligations are fully understood, risks are effectively managed, and profitability is maximised
* Line managing and developing a team of commercial professionals, ensuring effective commercial management of the contract and that individuals are fully trained and competent to meet both company and contract requirements
* Building and maintaining strong long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective negotiation and collaboration
* Supporting the development and control of budgets and cost controls to ensure contracts meet financial and project objectives
* Leading the weekly and monthly cost value reconciliation process, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to support informed decision-making
* Managing cash flow effectively by maximising income and minimising work-in-progress exposure
* Ensuring that variations to the contract scope are identified, priced, and agreed in line with contractual requirements
* Ensuring that subcontracts are procured at appropriate rates and on suitable terms, with due consideration of value and risk, and that they are administered in accordance with company procedures and contract requirements

You bring a positive, proactive approach and have extensive commercial experience within a contractor environment. You will be a confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop teams while managing commercial performance to achieve shared objectives.
You will have demonstrable experience managing a range of contracts, including complex contractual arrangements, supported by strong technical construction knowledge. You will operate with a high level of commercial awareness and have experience working at Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor level.
You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and comfortable building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. You will be resourceful, resilient under pressure, and have strong attention to detail, enabling you to deliver accurate and timely commercial outcomes.
