Key Responsibilities
Your role will depend on the team you join:
Safeguarding & Child Protection Team
* Undertake assessments and develop Care & Support Plans for at-risk children.
* Manage complex caseloads and respond to crisis situations.
* Work closely with multi-agency professionals and prepare court reports.
Permanence Team
* Develop and implement permanence plans to secure long-term stability for children in care.
* Work closely with foster carers, adopters, and connected carers to ensure successful placements.
* Advocate for children and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making.
Assessment & Intervention Team
* Conduct statutory assessments and develop targeted intervention plans.
* Work in partnership with families and professionals to provide timely safeguarding responses.
* Prepare reports for court proceedings and multi-agency meetings.
Who We\'re Looking For
* Qualified Social Workers with Social Work England registration.
* Minimum 2 years\' post-qualification experience (safeguarding, permanence, or assessment & intervention preferred).
* Strong assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.
* A full driving licence or ability to travel across Oldham.
