Maintenance Engineer - Chemical Manufacturing
A globally recognised chemical manufacturer located in the Runcorn area of Cheshire is seeking a Mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This newly created position has arisen due to increased operational demand and ongoing business growth.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will join an established engineering team to ensure maintenance activities meet high standards, safety, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) using CMMS and perform reactive repairs to ensure equipment reliability
* Maintain site facilities to maximize equipment performance
* Diagnose and repair equipment failures promptly, conduct Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurrence
* Ensure all maintenance complies with safety regulations and standards
* Coordinate with contractors during breakdowns, repairs, and planned maintenance following permit to work procedures
Essential Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
* Experience in Process Manufacturing, ideally within Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Food sectors
* Minimum of five years' hands-on industry experience as a Maintenance Engineer
* Mechanical bias with electrical systems knowledge
* Experience with screw feed systems, pneumatics, vacuum pumps, and motor/gearbox assemblies
* Proficient in using CMMS
Additional Information
* Monday - Friday, Days Role
* 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm finish on Friday
* Fully site-based role
