Business Development Consultant We’re looking for a commercially minded Business Development Consultant to work alongside our Field Sales Consultants and help unlock growth in high-potential territories. This role is about identifying opportunity, opening doors, and building the foundations for long-term success. You’ll take a broader, more strategic view of the territory — analysing potential, engaging key prospects, and helping shape how we expand our presence in targeted areas. If you enjoy spotting gaps in the market, developing new routes to growth, and working collaboratively to turn opportunity into results, this could be the role for you. The Role • Identifying high-opportunity customer, and growth areas • Researching and targeting new business opportunities • Building early-stage relationships with key decision-makers and influencers • Opening new accounts and creating a strong pipeline of future business • Working closely with Field Sales Consultants to develop the territory. • Supporting territory planning and helping define go-to-market strategies • Representing the business professionally and confidently when engaging new prospects • Providing excellent service, including after-sale follow-up, to ensure customer satisfaction. This is a role for someone who enjoys creating momentum, not just maintaining existing business. What We’re Looking For • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong commercial mindset • Experience in business development, territory expansion, or new-market growth • Confidence engaging new prospects and opening conversations at all levels • Strong relationship-building and communication skills • The ability to identify opportunity and convert interest into tangible results • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with wider sales teams • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise opportunities • An interest in the automotive sector or B2B sales environment (training provided) • Competent with CRM systems and sales reporting tools • Full, clean UK driving licence What We Offer • £24,000 basic salary with minimum guaranteed earnings of £27,300 per annum with OTE of approx £35,000 • Uncapped commission linked to new business development • Company car, tablet, and mobile phone • Structured onboarding and ongoing training • Clear progression opportunities within a growing sales organisation • Monday–Friday working pattern • 23 days holiday (rising with length of service) • Pension and healthcare plan • Access to additional rewards, incentives, and recognition schemes You may have experience in or be interested in Business Development, Territory Manager, Sales Development, Market Expansion, B2B Sales, Account Development, Commercial Sales, or Growth Strategy roles.
