Key Responsibilities

Child-Centric Practice: Complete meaningful direct work with children to understand their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences, incorporating life story work to help them understand their journeys.

Care Planning & Proceedings: Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans while confidently managing care proceedings and representing the authority in court.

Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner closely with foster carers, residential teams, schools, health providers, and legal professionals to build a robust support network around each child.

High-Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate records and write analytical, high-standard reports for court and statutory reviews.
Role Requirements

Active Social Work England registration.
*
Significant post-qualifying experience within a Children in Care, Looked After Children (LAC), or equivalent frontline team.

Driving License & Vehicle: As Suffolk features beautiful but highly rural locations, significant travel is required to visit children in their placements. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.

Hybrid Commitment: Ability to work full-time, with an expectation to spend 3 days per week based in the Bury St Edmunds office
