We are working on behalf of a thriving secondary school in the Coventry area that is seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspiring Head of Mathematics to lead its successful department from January 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Maths teacher ready to take the next step in their career, or for an experienced subject leader looking to make a lasting impact in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
•Provide clear, impactful leadership of the Mathematics department.
•Drive standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages 3–4 (and potentially KS5).
•Lead curriculum design, assessment, and departmental planning.
•Inspire, support, and develop colleagues to deliver outstanding lessons.
•Use data and assessment effectively to raise student oues.
•Contribute to whole-school initiatives and collaborate with other curriculum leaders.
The Ideal Candidate
•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths specialism.
•Strong record of success in teaching and student progress.
•Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate colleagues.
•Strategic thinker with excellent organisational skills.
