Job Description
Job Duties:
* Supporting students with special needs in their educational and personal development
* Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans
* Providing one-on-one support to students with learning disabilities or behavioural challenges
* Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
* Monitoring and recording student progress
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
Education:
* Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)
Experience:
* Previous experience working with children with special needs
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
* Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
* Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
* Full-time position with regular school hours
* Working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff
* Potential for physical and emotional demands due to the nature of working with special needs students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
