Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors across Durham and Sunderland for a September 2026 start, with flexible working patterns available to suit your schedule.
Cover Supervision is a great option for anyone who enjoys being in a classroom environment but wants flexibility without the commitment of a permanent role. No lesson planning, no marking, no parents' evenings — you go in, supervise the class, deliver the work that's been left, and make sure students stay on task.

What the role involves:
* Supervising classes across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4
* Delivering pre-set work left by the class teacher
* Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task
* Following individual school procedures and providing brief handover feedback
* Adapting confidently to different schools and year groups
To be considered:
* Experience working in a school or a degree in any discipline
* Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations
* A reliable, professional, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
