Role Overview
Woodlands Care Centre is seeking a Lifestyle Activities Coordinator to join their friendly residential home, caring for individuals with Dementia.
The Activities Coordinator will motivate, inspire, and mobilize team members to engage in providing stimulating activities within the residents' environment. They will support the Lifestyle Lead in planning, promoting, and implementing meaningful, enjoyable, and engaging activity programs based on relationship-centered care principles.
Key responsibilities include motivating team members, modeling relationship-centered care to empower residents, and engaging with residents in conversations and activities that respect their dignity and communication differences.
Qualifications/Education
* NVQ HSC Level 3 or QCF HSC Award 3 (not essential)
Experience
* Proven track record of organizing, coordinating, and motivating teams
* Experience in scheduling and managing activity programs
* Experience working with older adults, including those with Dementia
* Experience delivering high-quality relationship-centered care
Skills and Knowledge
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Passion for developing new skills
* Strong listening skills
* Data management skills for record keeping
* Ability to organize and prioritize workloads under pressure
