Job Title: Acute Stroke Unit Advanced Occupational Therapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team on the Acute Stroke Unit (ASU). The role involves delivering holistic, patient-centred Occupational Therapy to empower patients to achieve their goals. This position offers the chance to enhance your expertise in stroke care and contribute to developing our Occupational Therapy services in this specialized area.
Main Duties
1. Be part of the wider Occupational Therapy team, ensuring practice aligns with current evidence, policies, and professional standards.
2. Contribute to a positive working culture that values effort, respects differences, and supports professional growth through supervision, appraisals, and training opportunities.
3. Participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota via our Bank Partners, with future plans for seven-day working.
4. Engage in partnership working across HRCH, Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust, and Your Healthcare, including secondments to enhance understanding and collaboration.

Qualifications
* Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC Registration
Experience & Skills
* Minimum of 18 months post-qualification experience as a Band 5 OT
* NHS experience, particularly in acute hospital, elderly care, or neuro rehabilitation settings
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Knowledge and skills as detailed in the person specification
