A rapidly expanding SaaS organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to become a key member of its executive team. This senior leadership role offers the chance to play a central part in shaping the company’s financial direction, supporting global scale-up plans, and contributing to high-level commercial decision-making. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will assume overall responsibility for the finance function. They will operate as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, ensuring strong financial controls while driving performance, insight, and discipline across the organisation. The CFO will lead a capable finance team, elevate financial operations, and support scalable growth through robust forecasting, planning, and analysis. Strategic Contribution
Define and execute the financial strategy in line with both immediate priorities and long-term ambitions Participate actively at executive level, influencing strategic direction and key business initiatives Build and manage the comprehensive multi-year financial plan Provide financial leadership to support international growth, including entity establishment and compliance considerations Ownership of the annual budget and ongoing forecasting cycles Produce accurate and insightful financial reports, including materials for board review Track business performance against targets, identifying risks and opportunities Assess new investments, product developments, and strategic initiatives
Finance Leadership
Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring strong capability and engagement Promote a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high performance Ensure finance infrastructure, systems, and processes are robust and scalable
Governance & Controls
Maintain compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations across relevant jurisdictions Strengthen financial controls and risk management practices Manage relationships with auditors, banking partners, and other key stakeholders Oversee liquidity, working capital, and insurance arrangements
Corporate Finance & Stakeholder Management
Support transactional activity including acquisitions and strategic investments Build and maintain relationships with investors and lenders Lead financing processes and manage associated financial documentation and data rooms
Candidate Profile:
Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience in a senior finance leadership capacity (CFO or Finance Director level) within a scaling or complex business Background within SaaS, technology, or digital businesses Strong exposure to international operations and financial governance Track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams Advanced analytical skills with strong commercial awareness
