An exciting opportunity has arisen at Leeds West Academy for a dedicated and proactive professional to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff. Health & Safety and First Aid Lead – Responsibilities
* Deliver a high-quality health and safety service across key areas of Health & Safety.
* Process risk assessments and coordinate Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs).
* Assess medical and dietary needs and lead the academy's medical and first aid provision.
* Work closely with teaching staff, student representatives and external partners to ensure students' individual needs are fully supported.
* Contribute to the development and administration of policies and procedures underpinning student welfare.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
* Strong knowledge and relevant experience in health, safety, and first aid within a school or comparable setting.
* A calm, professional and caring approach; effective team player with courtesy, compassion and professionalism in interactions with pupils, colleagues and parents.
* Experience in a school environment would be an advantage.

* Grade: SO1 (Actual Salary £31,273 to £33,024).
* Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only plus 15 days.
* Accountable to: Operations Manager.
