Position Overview
The stock controller is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the shop floor. He/she maintains control of the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room. He/she is also accountable for stock and inventory control.
Job Description
1. Ensures that the stock room is organized and clean, enabling merchandise to be ready for the shop floor at any time.
2. Monitors all deliveries, including uploading them onto the store's system within the required time frame.
3. Executes all transfers, including IBTs, RBTs, faulty goods, End of Seasons, and staff uniforms.
4. Investigates and reports all discrepancies to minimize stock loss and negatives.
5. Records and communicates stock levels, slow sellers, and best sellers to the store team.
6. Plans and completes checks prior to stock takes.
7. Carries out stock takes.
8. Communicates effectively with senior stock controllers.
9. Sensors, steams, folds, and hangs merchandise as required.
10. Brings new deliveries to the shop floor.
11. Assumes and completes additional duties as assigned by the store manager, including customer service and selling from the shop floor.
12. Works according to given deadlines.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
* Participates in and attends all required store meetings and related functions.
* Performs housekeeping and maintenance duties as required.
* Is available to travel and work from different locations when necessary.
* Maintains standards in line with job requirements and company policies.
* Assumes and completes other duties as assigned by management.
* Works additional hours as required.
* Adheres to procedures for the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
