Known for its warm atmosphere, professional service, and seasonal menus featuring fresh, local ingredients, this venue is looking for a talented Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and help take things to the next level. The Role This is a hands-on Head Chef role with full responsibility for the kitchen. You’ll lead on menu creation, team development, stock and cost control, and delivering consistently high-quality dishes in a busy, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen team * Create and deliver seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients * Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene * Manage kitchen budgets, GP targets, and supplier relationships * Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory * Ensure full compliance with food safety and health & safety standards * Train and support junior chefs, promoting growth and development What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef in a similar setting * Excellent leadership and communication skills * Passion for seasonal British cooking and pub classics with a twist * Strong understanding of kitchen finance and cost control * Organised, driven, and committed to high standards * A genuine love for food and hospitality What’s on Offer * Salary: £38,000–£40,000 per year approx. £450/month in gratuities * Performance-based bonuses * Creative freedom with menus * Supportive ownership and strong team culture * Staff discounts, pension, and professional development opportunities
