Apprentice Engineer – Overview
As an Apprentice Engineer, you will work alongside our experienced engineering team that will guide you through our manufacturing processes and support you in gaining knowledge and practical experience of the day‑to‑day operations at a high‑speed can manufacturing site.
We will give you insight into cutting‑edge manufacturing technologies and help you gain skills that are in high demand within the industry and beyond.
Key Responsibilities and Experience
* Learn on the job in the brand-new cutting‑edge manufacturing facility.
* Work alongside our experienced and engaging Engineers and Electricians, investigating ways of improving plant productivity through teamwork and problem‑solving.
* Study toward completing a Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship.
* Spend the first year (approximately 42 weeks) at Midland Group Training Services in Coventry, learning and developing skills such as maintaining electrical equipment, mechanical maintenance, electrical wiring & testing, wiring & testing PLC systems, maintaining fluid power systems, MAG welding, and other related areas.
* From the second year onwards, spend time in our factory while travelling to Coventry MGTS one day per week or, if confirmed, seven one‑week‑long blocks in the training centre.
Entry Requirements
We are seeking applicants who have or will obtain at least 3 GCSEs, including Maths (Grade 6 or above) and English & Science (Grade 5 or above).
