Principal Lighting Engineer – WSP
We are seeking an experienced lighting professional to lead projects in the highway sector and support our Lighting & Energy Solutions team across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Lead lighting and electrical design development for highway projects from concept through to delivery.
* Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary project team.
* Develop bespoke deliverables, guidance documents and technical support materials.
* Ensure UK standards, safety and cost controls are met.
* Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to secure project success.
Qualifications
* Achieved IEng/CEng, or EngTech working towards IEng.
* Extensive experience in leading lighting/electrical design, with project management and people‑management skills.
* Strong knowledge of UK lighting and electrical standards, risk, CDM and financial controls.
* Proven ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Lighting Reality, Electrical OM (or similar).
* Commitment to CPD and professional development.
