History/Religious Studies Teacher – Full-time cover role from ASAP until May 2026 (no planning or marking)

* Teach History and Religious Studies to KS3 pupils across five days per week
* Deliver engaging lessons using provided planning and resources
* Maintain clear behaviour expectations and a positive classroom environment
* Support pupils’ understanding of key historical and religious concepts
* Adapt lesson delivery to meet varied learning needs
* Work collaboratively with departmental colleagues to ensure continuity
* Provide verbal feedback to support pupil progress
* Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal History/Religious Studies Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong subject teaching experience
* Confident teaching History and/or Religious Studies at KS3
* Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
* Able to engage and motivate pupils of mixed abilities
* Reliable and available to commit to the full cover period
* Organised, adaptable, and confident working without planning or marking responsibilities
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
