This new and exciting role has been created to drive our Public Interest (PI) audit team, transform our approach to winning new business, and drive profitable growth in the large listed market and large privately held companies, including major PE-backed groups.
You will be part of a supportive and growing audit Go-to-Market team, as well as the national Markets and Clients community. This is an exciting opportunity to help our partners and directors deliver on their growth targets by ensuring rigour and momentum in their business and client development activities.
Responsibilities include:
* Transform our approach to winning new business, focusing on a proactive, structured, and rigorous approach aligned with the Firm’s Sales and Marketing Cycle.
* Bring a fresh perspective to Business Development, leveraging previous experience to drive the right mindset.
* Define, identify, and oversee a pipeline of pursuits and tenders, supporting PI business growth, and introducing key account management and tiering strategies.
* Champion the use of the new CRM system (Dynamics) across the PI Audit practice.
* Manage key relationships with priority PI targets, working with Pursuits team to develop strategies and qualify targets.
* Oversee reporting and monitoring of KPIs related to the sales pipeline.
* Support audit leaders and PI partners in identifying and pursuing new markets and targets.
* Hold PI partners accountable for their actions and target development.
* Collaborate with marketing to inform go-to-market plans.
* Develop propositions for the PI market through collaboration with other practices.
* Coordinate with other BD teams as needed.
* Build a sales culture within PI through communication and coordination.
* Identify and organize training needs for BD/sales and account management.
* Support strategic client and target conversations with senior stakeholders.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in professional services, ideally Big 4.
* Background in BD and account management within FTSE 350 companies.
* Senior stakeholder management experience.
* Interest or knowledge of Audit is beneficial but not critical.
The role is flexible regarding location but has a national remit, so travel may be required.
Desired skills include:
* Understanding of lead generation, sales, and client management activities.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.
* Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce or Dynamics.
* Project management skills.
* Proactive attitude and resilience.
