About the Role
Working as a Buyer you will report to the Procurement Manager, responsible for buying materials, components and supplier management for projects running through the business. Working within the procurement team you will raise purchase orders, set up and maintain stock records as well as being a key stakeholder within the project life cycle within the business.
A brief outline of the role responsibilities are below:
Responsibilities
1. Processing purchase orders
2. Negotiating prices
3. Obtaining quotes from suppliers and feeding information back to the relevant departments
4. Ensuring products are delivered on time
5. Following up non-delivered supplier purchase orders and back orders
6. Setting up and maintaining stock records as and when required
7. Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers
8. Setting up new supplier accounts
9. Keeping the approved supplier list up to date
10. Booking in deliveries when required
11. Reconciliation of monthly credit card statement
12. Assisting with any invoice queries
13. Updating our central materials library
14. Manage price change/information changes
