Our client, a leading Top 100 London law firm, is seeking a skilled Commercial Property Solicitor to join their Real Estate department on a 6-month fixed term contract.
The firm's Real Estate practice offers comprehensive property-related legal services, supporting a broad spectrum of clients including those in the retail, hospitality, investment, and development sectors. The Commercial Property team advises on a wide range of non-contentious matters such as acquisitions and disposals, development projects, portfolio management, and landlord and tenant issues.
Recent work includes:
* Site acquisitions for residential and student accommodation developments
* Advising on the expansion of national and international retail and leisure businesses
* Supporting investment funds with commercial property acquisitions
* Refinancing of property portfolios across various asset classes
The Role:
You will work closely with senior fee earners, contributing to a variety of matters with scope for matter ownership from the outset.
Responsibilities include:
* Drafting and reviewing Options, Promotion Agreements, and Overage Agreements
* Managing site acquisitions conditional on planning
* Handling new and renewal leases
* Assisting with Certificates of Title
* Advising on commercial acquisitions and disposals
* Reviewing Heads of Terms, contracts, and title documentation
* Managing enquiries, searches, and post-completion tasks
* Liaising with clients, solicitors, and internal stakeholders
* Maintaining client matter schedules
* Participating in business development and CPD activities
About You
* Qualified Solicitor with 5+ PQE in real estate development and commercial property transactions
* A genuine interest in real estate law and the work undertaken by the team
* A practical, solutions-focused approach to legal issues
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Clear and confident communication abilities
* A collaborative mindset and client-focused attitude
