We are currently looking to recruit a Contracts Manager on a permanent basis to join our team based at our head office in Didsbury, Manchester.
How can you make a difference?
This role is a crucial part of our projects team, which undertakes projects ranging from small contracts (small number of wind turbines where our responsibility is to supply, install, and commission the turbines only) to large, turn-key projects where Nordex is responsible for building the entire multi-turbine wind farm. Projects range in value from £50m-£150m.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Analyze the Terms and Conditions of the customer contract and advise the team accordingly
* Identify and anticipate contractual risks and opportunities
* Monitor how the Parties are performing their obligations under the contract
* Manage Variations for both Head and Subcontract
* Claims Management for both Head and Subcontract
* Draft amendments and settlement agreements
* Coordinate communications with Subcontractors and Clients
* Lead the claims strategy and negotiation process
* Record and administer change orders in an online system
* Prepare monthly reports within tight deadlines
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field and have recent experience in a similar role, preferably within the renewables sector.
You will hold or be actively working towards MRICS membership and have a strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, financial planning, teamwork, and drive.
