Medway Council Landlord Services owns and manages around 3200 homes in the Medway area. We aim to provide excellent services to tenants. We are a high performing, customer‑focused service, delivering results that compare favorably with other similar housing organisations.
Responsibilities
* Deal with complex cases where the tenancy may be at risk, including self‑neglect and hoarded properties; attend professionals’ meetings and work closely with the Tenancy Management Sustainment Officer.
* Carry out lettings and sign‑ups on Medway Council properties and garages.
* Handle a wide range of tenancy management functions such as mutual exchange requests, succession and change of tenancy requests.
* Consult with and work closely with customers to ensure their views are considered in the management of their homes.
* Carry out tenancy visits, including introductory visits and tenancy audits.
* Conduct estate inspections and ensure that estates and blocks look as good as possible through regular inspections and liaison with cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors.
* Ensure Medway Council complies with gas servicing requirements and represent the Council in court for no‑access properties as required.
* Attend surgeries regularly and represent the Tenancy Team at community events.
* Work closely with the Tenancy Management Anti‑Social Behaviour Officer on issues that overlap with anti‑social behaviour and tenancy breaches.
* Cover the Housing Duty phone line on a rota basis.
