Job Title: Freelance Site Engineer – Renewables
Location: North East / Yorkshire
Contract: Freelance | 12 months | Start: ASAP
Overview: g2 are working with a leading consultancy who are hiring a Freelance Site Engineer for utility‑scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or BESS). You’ll oversee on‑site works, ensure HSE compliance, and coordinate subcontractors to keep the project on track.
* Manage daily site activities
* Ensure HSE compliance
* Coordinate with PMs and subcontractors
* Keep records & support handover
Requirements:
* Site Engineer experience in renewables or civils
* CSCS (required), SMSTS/SSSTS (preferred)
* Able to travel & work independently across two sites in the UK
* Right to work in the UK
