About this opportunity
An opportunity has arisen to join the team responsible for designing highway improvement and maintenance schemes within the Eden area.
The successful applicant will need excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to respond effectively to queries from the public and parish councils regarding design and maintenance issues.
You should be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally with framework contractors. The role involves working within the Eden Network Team to oversee the delivery of highway capital and revenue programs, ensuring they meet specifications, legal obligations, deadlines, and budget targets.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines. A flexible approach to work and good IT skills are essential. Experience in a relevant technical team environment is preferable, but full training will be provided. You should be able to approach issues conceptually and work innovatively to improve service delivery.
