Job Title: Primary Supply Teacher
Location: Barton-upon-Humber
Pay Rate: £130 - £180 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time
Dynamic Primary Supply Teacher Role Available in Barton-upon-Humber!
GSL Education are inviting applications from experienced and newly qualified Supply Teachers to support primary schools in Barton-upon-Humber and surrounding areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work across different year groups and schools, gaining valuable experience and making a positive impact.
About the Role:
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will cover classes in the absence of permanent staff, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. You will work closely with school leadership and teaching teams to deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and school policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that support early childhood development.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and creative learning environment where young children feel encouraged to explore and learn.
* Implement age-appropriate teaching strategies that cater to various learning needs, including children with SEN.
* Use play-based and hands-on learning techniques to develop key literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
* Assess and track pupil progress, adapting lesson plans to meet individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and school leadership to ensure each child receives tailored support.
* Encourage positive behaviour management and emotional well-being in the classroom.
Job Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Proven experience as an Primary Supply Teacher in a primary school setting.
* A deep understanding of early childhood education principles, EYFS and child development.
* Ability to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences for young learners.
* Experience supporting children with additional learning needs (desirable but not essential).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
