Gynaecology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

Full time (37.5 hours) Band 6 position. Working Monday‑Friday during office hours on a cross‑site role.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the Gynaecology Oncology Nurse Specialist team to support patients and families throughout the cancer journey.
Main Duties
* Provide nursing care for patients undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and recovery.
* Manage clinical workload, prioritise and re‑prioritise as required.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary team across sites.
* Deliver guidance and support to new staff; undergo full induction and supernumerary period.

Qualifications
* Current NMC / GMC registration
Experience and Knowledge
* Demonstrable experience in Gynaecology or Oncology.
* Experience with sensitive situations.
* IT literate.
* Experience of audit.
* Knowledge of gynaecological related conditions.
* Knowledge of caring for patients with new cancer diagnosis.
Communications and Interpersonal Skills
* Communicates sensitive information to patients, relatives and the wider health community.
* Overcomes barriers to communication and acceptance.
* Negotiates, persuades, motivates, reassures, facilitates and influences.
Responsibility and Accountability
* Assesses risks and takes appropriate action.
* Manages clinical workload, prioritises and re‑prioritises as required.
