Overall purpose of the role
To provide a one‑stop residential conveyancing service to clients and referrers, delivering a consistently high standard of service while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide requirements.
Responsibilities
* Manage and control your own caseload from inception through to completion
* Ensure clients obtain good and marketable title to property
* Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and third parties
* Review, check and deal with mortgage offers
* Supervise and support paralegals and/or assistants where required
* Maintain compliance with all regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide policies and procedures
* Undertake conveyancing transactions in line with the firm’s CQS accreditation
* Maintain individual competence and contribute positively to the wider Residential Property team
* Work collaboratively with the Post‑Completion and Welcome Teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
What we’re looking for
* A recognised legal qualification or substantiated conveyancing experience
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar residential property role
* Proven ability to manage your own caseload, including volume conveyancing
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A flexible, organised and adaptable approach to work
* Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills
* A positive, enthusiastic and self‑motivated team player
* A strong commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
* Solicitor, CLC or CILEx qualification
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
