Offer description

Up to £51,691 p.a.

We offer a competitive benefits package, including up to £14,825 per annum in employer pension contributions

Runshaw College is one of the most successful colleges in the country, renowned locally and nationally for our outstanding results, a friendly and supportive culture, and a focus on putting the student at the heart of all we do.

We value our staff and students highly, and invest heavily in their development, support and wellbeing. Situated in Leyland, Lancashire, the College is near the M6, M61 and M65 and within commuting distance of Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative Teacher of the Digital curriculum to join our School of Digital Technologies. The School’s provision currently comprises Advanced and Pre-advanced Vocational IT courses, A Level Computer Science, T Level Digital, and online adult courses in Software Development and Web Application Development. We are looking for a teacher who would be keen to play their part in embracing the implications of Level 3 curriculum reform and broader plans for the future of post-16 education and skills. We are keen to ensure our curriculum offer meets growing skills needs in areas such as cyber security, app development and AI: we would, therefore, welcome applications from both experienced and more recently qualified candidates with an interest or experience in these areas, and able to prepare our students for these digital futures.

This a truly exciting time to be joining the Digital team at Runshaw. We recently launched our Centre of Digital Excellence and are also actively involved in the National Cyber Security Centre’s Cyber Bursary scheme, working with both high schools and higher education to promote and prepare students for careers in the growing cyber security sector. You will be enthusiastic, committed to continuous improvement, and motivated to engage in further career development in subject knowledge, pedagogy and links with industry. You will also be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
