Head of History – Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* A degree in History or a related subject
* A recognised teaching qualification with QTS (such as PGCE)
* Experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Experience leading or supporting a department, faculty, or key area within History
* A strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
* The ability to inspire students of all abilities through engaging and challenging lessons
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A passion for historical enquiry, critical thinking, and student achievement
* The legal right to work in the UK
