Job Title: IT Business Analyst Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)

A well-established, not-for-profit organisation is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join its Technology & Change Team. With a strong commitment to delivering meaningful impact, the organisation is focused on improving internal systems and processes to better serve its communities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver effective, user-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Leads workshops and meetings to gather, analyse, and document detailed requirements.
Analyses, designs, and optimises business processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Produces clear, structured documentation including process maps, business requirements, and functional specifications.
Supports testing activities including system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Investigates and documents software defects, working with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
Manages test data and executes test plans to validate that system changes meet business requirements.
Assists in planning and delivery of change initiatives, offering insight and expertise throughout project lifecycles.
What do we want from you?
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally within a charity, public sector, or non-profit environment (But not essential)
Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Experience working across the full software development lifecycle in both Agile and Waterfall settings.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SQL; experience with AWS is desirable.
A degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Professional certifications such as BCS/ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis or Agile Project Management (preferred).
