Building Fabric Engineer - Mobile (Dartford Area)

The Role
This is a mobile position covering the Dartford area, delivering first-class building fabric and maintenance services to high-profile commercial clients.
You'll play a key role in ensuring sites remain safe, compliant, and well maintained, taking ownership of reactive and remedial works while delivering a consistently high standard of service.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality reactive and remedial building maintenance works
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues using initiative and problem-solving skills
* Source parts, materials, and liaise with manufacturers when required
* Complete detailed job reports to keep clients fully informed
* Ensure all works are completed within agreed timescales and to required standards
* Maintain accurate records including O&M logs and risk control measures
* Use mobile devices (PDA/tablet) to manage and close jobs
* Work closely with the Helpdesk to ensure efficient response and resolution
* Carry out works independently or as part of a wider team
* Adhere to strict health & safety standards, completing point-of-work risk assessments
* Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients
* Participate in an on-call rota across contracts
Skills & Experience
* Relevant trade qualification (C&G or NVQ Level 2 or 3)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a building maintenance or FM environment
* Strong all-round building fabric knowledge, including:
* Carpentry
* Wet trades
* Minor plumbing
* Tiling
* Groundworks
* Full UK driving licence
