About us
MHILD Healthcare Services provides efficient supported living for adults with complex mental health needs, dual diagnosis, challenging behaviours and learning disabilities. Each supported accommodation cater for one specific need eg mental health, we do not mix service users with different needs. We cover London and surrounding areas.
The role
As a Senior Care Worker, you'll deliver hands-on care while leading and supporting Care Workers to ensure safe, consistent, and dignified care in line with CQC standards.
Key responsibilities
* Provide high-quality personal care, companionship, and support with daily living.
* Lead and mentor Care Workers during shifts; model best practice and safer moving & handling.
* Complete care plans, risk assessments, and outcome-focused reviews with clients and families.
* Administer/oversee medication in line with company policy and MAR records.
* Conduct spot checks, observations, and quality audits; escalate concerns promptly.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (GPs, district nurses, therapists) and next of kin.
* Maintain accurate, timely notes using our digital care system.
* Participate in on-call/rota cover as required to maintain service continuity.
* Champion safeguarding, infection prevention & control, and health & safety compliance.
Essential requirements
* NQF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 3).
* Proven experience in adult social care with confidence to lead a team on shift.
* Strong communication, recording, and organisational skills.
* Reliable, compassionate, and committed to person-centred care.
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain—company-supported).
Desirable
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work (mileage paid).
* Medication competency and knowledge of digital MAR/e-rostering systems.

Schedule
* Full-time hours across a rolling rota that may include early, late, weekends, and on-call.
