Overall purpose: Argenbright Security Europe Limited (ASEL) provides integrated security solutions through technology products and human security resources. Our solutions include risk-based integrated security, deployed via our unique ASEL Risk Modelling approach designed for urban centres. Intelligence & Deployment – ‘Turning data into intelligence-based business action’ – are key elements underpinning the operational delivery of the ASEL risk Model (ARM).
As a member of the Bradford BID Patrol Team, you will be at the forefront of UK business crime reduction and intelligent crime management, contributing to the most effective urban centres operation in the UK. ASEL is committed to high standards in security officer quality, training, and delivery. You will join an elite team providing tactical security services as part of our Command and Intelligence Centre operation, ensuring high responsiveness and effectiveness for our clients and communities.
Main duties & key responsibilities
1. Provide a high visibility, reassuring, and friendly presence, ensuring a safe environment in Southampton City Centre, reacting appropriately to threats and risks as per training.
2. Visit BID businesses daily, engage with store and business colleagues, and maintain an updated contact list on the BID Base software platform.
3. Operate professionally, delivering excellent customer service to BID businesses, the public, local authorities, and the BID team.
4. Check intelligence updates daily at the start of your shift, staying informed about target subjects impacting BID businesses.
5. Focus on agreed priority offenders to reduce crime and risks within Southampton City Centre.
6. Communicate daily with the ASEL CIC, adhere to BID visit schedules, and follow instructions from the CIC and BID team.
7. Report all incidents and intelligence via ASEL Guarded on Duty, completing daily DILO reports as required.
8. Gather evidence for police investigations, including MG11 statements and CCTV exhibits, and support businesses in offender detention and evidence collection.
9. Respond promptly to calls via BID radio or mobile, acknowledging every communication.
10. Assist visitors by providing wayfinding information.
11. Manage sharps, waste, and debris following proper procedures.
12. Attend and support monthly Business Crime meetings and assist the Business Crime Manager as needed.
13. Collaborate with police, outreach teams, and support Days of Action.
14. Support police prosecutions by attending court and providing evidence.
15. Offer first aid support as a trained first responder.
Night-Time City Security Wardens Objectives
To prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour (ASB) and increase public confidence through high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas within the BID.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular high-visibility patrols, ensuring presence reassures the public, businesses, and visitors.
* Engage with the community and businesses, gather intelligence, and address concerns.
* Interact with NTE businesses to remind them to operate radios; build positive community relationships; issue warning letters.
* Identify and engage with individuals causing ASB, issuing warnings or coordinating with police.
* Respond proactively to ASB incidents to deter further issues.
* Be vigilant for signs of VAWG, support victims, and escalate incidents to police.
* Log all patrol activities and incidents, submit intelligence, and ensure activities are documented for funding purposes.
* Attend partner briefings, coordinate patrols, and collaborate with police and other agencies.
* Maintain professionalism and adhere to policies and procedures throughout duties.
