We have an 18-month fixed term contract role for an experienced Direct Marketing Strategy & Planning Manager, working within our Planning Centre of Excellence, in the Customer Marketing team which is part of the Customer, Brand & Engagement function
You’ll play a critical role in driving forward our 121 marketing strategy; through developing strategic roadmaps and enhancing performance. With a focus on the delivery of effective marketing plans to ensure alignment between marketing strategies and business objectives, you’ll be instrumental in driving value in support of our growth ambitions.

For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events in one of our office sites. What you’ll be doing
* Strategic roadmap development: The development of long-term and short-term marketing strategy roadmaps that align to business goals and strategic priorities, emphasising 121 marketing performance and reporting frameworks.
* Understand performance: Support the oversight of key performance indicators and timely, accurate and actionable reporting of marketing metrics and insights.
* Commercial and financial acumen: Draw on established knowledge of financial services markets to inform marketing strategy and partner with cross functional teams to ensure strategies and plans will deliver optimal customer and commercial outcomes.
* Collaboration and stakeholder management: Build strong relationships with leadership, business partners and other key stakeholders to ensure marketing strategies & plans are effectively integrated and aligned with broader organisational goals and priorities.
About you
As a minimum, you'll have:
* A proven track record in the field of direct (121) marketing strategy and planning, developing effective direct marketing plans, driven from deep business and commercial acumen.
* Experience in understanding, analysing and interpreting complex performance data and insight to inform direct marketing strategy and decision making.
* Strong strategic and operational planning & organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities & deliverables.
* Knowledge and understanding of personalisation strategies within direct marketing.
* Proven experience in the understanding of 121 marketing channels, trends, tools and technologies.
* A good understanding of financial services, business strategy, direct marketing and communications strategy.
* Excellent decision making and critical thinking skills.
* A curious mind-set and a passion for innovation in the direct marketing space.
