Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyewear needs, ensuring the accurate fitting of glasses and contact lenses, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products and a commitment to patient care.
Duties
* Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their style and prescription needs.
* Accurately measure patients' eyes for proper lens fitting.
* Dispense and fit glasses, ensuring they meet quality standards.
* Provide education on lens options, care instructions, and eyewear maintenance.
* Maintain an organised inventory of frames and lenses, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
* Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care.
* Conduct basic repairs and adjustments on eyewear as needed.
* Stay updated on the latest optical trends and technologies to provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar role is preferred.
* Laboratory experience is advantageous for handling lens fabrication processes.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and vision correction is essential.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
