Job Title: Package Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing Projects (Remote, UK)
Contract Type: 12 Months
Day Rate: £500–£650/day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Overview
Our client is recruiting a Package Engineer to support the delivery of a major chemical manufacturing project. The role is remote with occasional travel (approx. 25%) to UK sites including Chilton, Clitheroe and Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage engineering packages across solids handling, utilities, and vendor-supplied equipment
* Review and coordinate technical deliverables with EPCM partners
* Support procurement and installation planning
* Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
1. Requirements
* Degree in engineering or related discipline
* Experience in package engineering within chemical or process industries
* Familiarity with brownfield site projects and vendor coordination
* Strong technical review and documentation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams
