What you'll do: This role is responsible for carrying out day to day operational buying responsibilities for the Luton site, helping the plant to achieve objectives relating to supplier management, cost management, quality, delivery, etc. "- Procure items across a range of commodity groups in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets, in line with corporate strategy - Manage daily priorities using standardised processes & escalate where appropriate - Contribute to departmental KPIs (SOTD, PPV & DPPM etc) - Manage day to day issues with suppliers, challenge situations and establish solutions - Monitor demand to identify opportunities to improve price/leadtime/quality, as well as obtaining information from vendors re market pricing/trends and informing colleagues - Respond to supplier quality issues and work with suppliers to assess root cause/preventative actions in a timely manner - Create/update update shortage trackers and GPS escalations - Assess revenue and PPV impact with Planning/Sales teams for shortages - Collaborate cross-functionally on relevant activities including. NPI, sample approval, etc. to deliver results - Contribute to sourcing cost-out project deck/associated meetings/projects - Demonstrate learning capability and participate in relevant activities to improve function (processes, efficiencies, etc.) - Support senior colleagues in the management of supplier accounts and cost-out initiatives as required - Any other duties as reasonably required by the Procurement department" Qualifications: Skills: Supply chain/procurement experience desirable, especially in a manufacturing background SAP, Microsoft Office, Intermediate Excel skills all desirable Prioritisation, Collaborative, Adaptable, Analytical, Strong communicator
