About Us
Join Orchard Community Trust (OCT), a values‑led multi‑academy trust committed to excellence, inclusion and strong community partnerships. We are seeking a skilled and motivated class teacher to cover a maternity leave from September 2026 until July 2027. This vacancy is for a teacher who can deliver a curriculum suited to subject‑specific pupils who have a range of learning difficulties and are taught using a highly adapted, individualised curriculum. Knowledge and understanding of a Key Stage 1 primary curriculum would be a strength. Candidates must also have a willingness to further their own professional development by attending relevant courses and implementing new initiatives that would improve their understanding of our progression pathway and how to fully support our pupils' needs. ECT candidates with relevant special school experience are welcome.
The school is committed to equality of opportunity.
Guided by the values of Courage, Unity and Equity, we are committed to creating inclusive, caring and ambitious school communities where every child and adult is supported to thrive.
