Location: UK Flexible, with some travel around the UK (approximately 1 - 2 times per quarter)
Salary: £35,000 to £37,500 per annum

Are you an accredited immigration legal expert at IAA Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)? Want to use your expertise to support displaced people through the British Red Cross?
As a Legal Services Manager, you’ll ensure our Refugee Support services are backed by strong legal advice. How? By equipping frontline teams with the tools and knowledge they need to offer safe, effective support in a fast-changing environment.
You’ll work with stakeholders to strengthen our Level 1 IAA-accredited advice, offering second-tier guidance within your legal competence. Could you be the go-to person for legal insight across Migration and Displacement?
You’ll respond to policy and legislative changes, shaping practical, user-focused guidance and training. The role sits in the UK Development Hub, with a dotted line to our Legal team - connecting legal expertise with humanitarian impact.
A day in the life of a Legal Services Manager will involve:
* Leading the delivery of high-quality Level 1 IAA-accredited immigration advice across Refugee Support. Supporting advisors and managers nationwide.
* Acting as the escalation point for complex or high-risk cases. Offer second-tier advice and help teams respond to legal and policy changes.
* Supporting supervision, auditing, and quality assurance. Maintaining IAA registration and prepare for audits to meet the Code of Standards.
* Exploring ways to expand Level 2 IAA provision and develop practical briefings and tools for frontline teams in response to policy and legislative changes.
* Working with the Casework Practice Development Manager, Legal Team, and International Law and Policy Team to align services with best practice.
* Taking part in team meetings, support colleagues in the UK Development Hub, and promote British Red Cross values.
To be a successful Legal Services Manager you’ll need:
* Accredited to Level 2 IAA (or equivalent)with expert knowledge of immigration law, asylum advice, and IAA standards and processes.
* Proven experience in capacity building, with the ability to develop and deliver training, support advice services across diverse teams and develop user-centred guidance.
* Strong collaboration skills, able to bring stakeholders together and navigate complex issues using inclusive and solution-focused approaches.
* Excellent communication and leadership, with the ability to engage senior leaders, facilitate conversations, and deliver clear guidance to varied audiences.
* Deep understanding of migration and displacement issues in the UK, including the legal and policy landscape affecting service users.
* Adaptability and digital confidence, with experience managing competing priorities in fast-changing environments and using Microsoft and other digital tools effectively.
