Summary

YASA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure safety, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

This role supports cross-functional teams to enhance production capabilities, maintain equipment, and drive continuous improvement across all SQDCPE (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Environment) key performance indicators.

What You'll Do:

* Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations, including risk assessments.
* Create and maintain process documentation such as Process Flows, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Standard Work Instructions.
* Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
* Select, procure, install, and maintain production equipment and tooling.
* Implement and monitor quality control measures.
* Act as an escalation point for process or equipment issues.
* Analyze production data to improve SQDCPE performance.
* Use root cause analysis and problem-solving tools to resolve issues.
* Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
* Maintain accurate documentation within manufacturing engineering control systems.
* Provide training and support to production staff on processes and equipment.
* Collaborate with product development to improve manufacturability.

Required Qualifications:

* A qualification in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in manufacturing engineering.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, quality systems, Lean methodologies.
* Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, and process documentation standards.
* Proficiency in data analysis and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 8D, PPS, RPS).
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Flexible approach to work in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

* A degree in Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in an automotive Tier 1 environment.
* Experience with CAD, ERP, and manufacturing data systems.
