Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in South Bristol from September 2025. This full-time position is based in the school’s Learning Base, supporting pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Dyslexia, and additional needs as they work towards their GCSEs.
Responsibilities
* Work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (term-time only).
* Support students with MLD and Dyslexia on a 1:1 and small group basis.
* Adapt resources and provide personalised learning support to help pupils access the curriculum.
* Help students develop essential academic and life skills for success beyond school.
* Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to deliver and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Experienced in supporting young people with MLD, Dyslexia, or other learning needs (desirable but not essential).
* Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
* A strong communicator with excellent teamwork skills.
* Passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people to reach their potential.
