Apollo Centre, part of the Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust (SAPMAT), is a Nurturing, Restorative, Sustainable, SEND-Friendly Primary Alternative Provision. We focus on creating a nurturing and restorative environment for students with diverse needs, striving to make a positive impact on a child’s whole development.
About the Role
We encourage educators who enjoy innovation and differentiation in their teaching to join us. Our program prioritises student well-being and social-emotional learning, creating a nurturing and trauma-informed environment. The restorative practice approach emphasises building relationships and resolving conflict constructively. The curriculum is SEND-friendly and inclusive, allowing you to develop expertise in working with students with diverse needs. The bespoke curriculum supports creativity and tailoring lessons to individual student needs, while encouraging the aspects of PACE: Play, Attention, Curiosity, and Exploration to promote active, child-centred learning. Small class sizes enable more individualised attention and professional development opportunities. The academy values staff wellbeing and offers a supportive work environment and ongoing development.
Responsibilities
* Provide a clear, consistent and relational approach to working with high-tariff and vulnerable students
* Maintain a focus on pupil progress and high expectations in behaviour, attendance and academic development
* Contribute to achieving the best outcomes for students within an aspirational, therapeutic, and innovative environment
Requirements/Qualifications
* Experience or ability to work effectively with diverse learners in an alternative provision setting
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners
* Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative, supportive school community
