Support your local community by becoming a School Crossing Patrol Officer at Lawford Mead County Infant & Junior Schools, Trent Road, Chelmsford. This role involves helping children cross the road safely during school hours.
Position Details
* Part-time, approximately 7.5 hours per week
* Working during 39 weeks of the academic year
* Shifts: 45 minutes in the morning (08:00 - 09:00) and afternoon (14:45 - 15:45)
* Uniform, equipment, and training provided
* Holiday pay included
Responsibilities
* Assist children and pedestrians at the crossing, considering the needs of disabled and mobility-impaired individuals
* Maintain contact with the schools served by the crossing
* Assess risks and report issues at the crossing site
* Help prepare reports on incidents and accidents
* Maintain the condition of uniform and equipment
* Signal to drivers to stop and ensure the safe crossing of pedestrians
