As a Warehouse Operative you’ll play a vital role in ensuring schools and educational organisations receive the resources they need to inspire learning every day.

Why this role matters
The Warehouse Operative plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods through the Distribution Centre. They are responsible for unpacking, checking, and storing incoming deliveries from suppliers as well as picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders. By maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and organisation, the role supports smooth warehouse operations, on-time deliveries, and overall customer satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing
Receive goods from suppliers and customer returns, checking them against purchase orders and collection paperwork, and report any discrepancies.
Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately, ensuring all labels, paperwork, and identification meet set KPIs.
Perform manual handling duties, including the safe handling of chemicals where required.
Assist with cycle counting, inventory management, and stock control tasks.
Ensure the security and proper storage of Distribution Centre inventory.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workplace, including shelves and racks.
Achieve personal and Distribution Centre performance targets.
Develop professionally by participating in training and adapting to changing job demands.
Comply with company health, safety, quality, and environmental policies to support a culture of excellence and safety.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution centre including picking, packing, replenishment, goods receipt and dispatch.
Experience in the use of a warehouse management system including the use of handheld devices and barcode scanners.
Ability to carry out manual handling duties.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload under pressure.
Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages
