Airtech, a market leader in ventilation solutions, is seeking an experienced and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead and grow its national sales operations within the Social Housing channel.
Job Profile:
This pivotal role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive performance, increase market share, and build long-term partnerships within the Social Housing and Local Authority sectors. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for key account management for the Midlands, Southwest England, and South Wales.
The successful candidate will hold extensive experience within a similar role, ideally within a service-based or product-led sales environment, with specification sales being an advantage. You'll demonstrate strong leadership and a proven track record in managing a field-based sales team (direct reports = 2).
Key responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Planning
* Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop and implement effective strategies to drive national sales growth.
* Prepare and manage sales budgets, setting clear objectives for each region and territory.
2. Team Leadership & Development
* Lead, coach, and develop the Sales team to consistently achieve performance targets.
* Support team members in managing territories, driving sales, and maintaining strong client relationships.
3. Sales Performance & Reporting
* Track and report on individual and team sales performance.
* Review and analyze weekly sales reports to identify opportunities, provide coaching, and optimize individual sales plans.
* Monitor sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
4. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to support long-term business growth.
* Organize and deliver sales meetings and product presentations for client reviews.
Experience and skills required:
* Demonstrated leadership and proven success in managing field-based sales teams
* Extensive experience in a similar role within a related industry
* Strong background in external selling, including territory management
* Knowledge and experience in Social Housing, Local Authorities, or service-based sales
* Expertise in product-led specification and consultative selling approaches
* In-depth understanding of sales strategies, techniques, and methodologies
* Proven ability to develop, coach, and support high-performing sales teams
* Skilled in data analysis to drive informed, strategic decision-making
* Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
* Exceptional organisational and time management capabilities
* Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Proficient in using CRM systems to manage pipelines and customer relationships
