About the IBCA
The IBCA was set up in response to the devastating events that occurred in the 1970s and 1980s when more than 30,000 people in the UK received contaminated blood products. The IBCA works with those infected and affected and you’ll have the opportunity to shape an organisation that will make a difference to the lives of thousands of people throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise financial performance, including developing financial plans, budgets and forecasts for directorates and functions.
* Monitor actual expenditure, identify variances and provide clear explanations and recommendations to budget holders and senior management.
* Produce a range of financial reports, dashboards and management information to inform decision‑making.
* Prepare ad‑hoc analysis, presentations and undertake specific finance projects or deep dives.
* Contribute to income and expenditure ledgers and support senior leaders in delivering a successful compensation service.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in a finance role with a strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting principles.
* Advanced MS Excel skills and hands‑on experience with financial management systems such as Oracle and SAP.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and draw actionable conclusions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex financial information into understandable insights for non‑finance professionals.
* Effective interpersonal and collaborative skills to build relationships with budget holders, project managers and senior leaders.
* Professional qualification: CCAB, CIMA or equivalent, or a commitment to working towards one.
