About the Role
As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our factory operations run smoothly. You’ll work on a rotating weekend shift schedule (Saturday & Sunday), with both day and night options available:
* Shifts: 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am
* Hours: 32/36 hours per week
* Salary: £45,633 - £51,337 (inclusive of shift allowance)
* Company performance bonus: 8%
Your Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and operate all critical facility plants for factory operations, including air conditioning, boilers, and compressors.
* Collaborate with the site reliability engineer to identify concerns and propose ideas for future asset investments.
* Plan and schedule all legal inspections within the facility department, ensuring full documentation is maintained.
* Manage reactive work support, troubleshooting, and root-cause methodologies.
* Oversee facility contract management duties, including risk assessments.
* Enhance the facility SAP PM system to ensure robust transaction capture.
* Drive continuous improvement in reactive maintenance.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in diagnosing and fixing industrial boilers, steam pipework, and water systems.
* Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems, compressors, chillers, boilers, and dehumidifiers with minimal guidance.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualifications (apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ, or equivalent).
* Strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
